V2C Forum 2009 is proud to host the formal kickoff of Global Venture Lab, in Finland, and the birth of the GVL Network. GVL is a university based business creation platform dedicated to problems worth solving. It is empowered by globally connected faculty, students, and alumni of business competence. The first GVL was launched in the USA, at UC Berkeley, on November 21, followed by India, IIT Kharagpur, on January 8. The launch of GVL in Finland marks the birth of the GVL Network. In Finland, GVL team is complemented by dedicated individual “knowledge investors” – experienced executives and entrepreneurs – who partner with faculty and students as part-time co-entrepreneurs in investing commitment, competence and connections towards equity stakes in selected growth ventures. Together they team up with inventors and entrepreneurs who subscribe to co-creation and are determined to rapidly build sustainable businesses to global markets.

Since 2001, V2C Forum has served as a meeting place for growth-oriented entrepreneurs, knowledge (or “V2C”) investors, business angels, venture capitalists, private and public sector advisors and financiers, as well as policy makers, researchers, and students who share the interest of successfully building business from venture-to-capital.
